New Supplies are always fun! Going to cake designated stores and finding products I don't have is like Christmas to me. I'm like a kid in the candy store-- trying to look, but not touch and secretly wanting everything! I kept control this time around and only got a few items. I used one on the cake I made yesterday, but I cannot wait to use the rest!

Baby Shower Cake
I made this cake for a friend's baby shower. She wanted it a simple tiffani blue with pops of yellow and red for the theme.
This was the result! I think it turned our nicely :)

Bridal Shower
So my sister is getting married and I hosted her bridal shower. From decorations to all desserts. Besides the bride-to-be, this cake was the show stopper!
A few fine details pulled this all together!
Tiffany Blue with pops of yellow made possible all because he popped the question!
I'm back !
Although I haven't posted in about two years, doesn't mean I haven't been baking away when I have the extra time (which by the way is very rare)! These are just a few of my creations :)
I've kept busy beyond baking, but I hope these ideas give you a glimpse at what I have been doing and the possible ideas to come.
Basketball Cake:
Made for my brother in law's 28th birthday
The wood floor was an interesting piece that I enjoyed creating. All it takes is some fondant, lines/grooves, colouring, and lemon extract!
Bubble Guppies:
Made for my goddaughter's 3rd birthday
Elsa from Frozen:
Made for my goddaughter's 4th birthday
Only one thing is missing from this cake - OLAF!
Adding snowflakes and shimmer to her dress really pulled this doll cake together.
Lakers:
Made for my boyfriends 26th birthday
Hockey - Maple Leafs:
Made for a 30th birthday
Miss Piggy:
Made for a 50th birthday
Creating this topper was easier than I had imagined. It came out looking really good and the process wasn't too daunting.
Pretty In Pink:
Made for a little girls christening
They say there is a fine line between elegance and plainness. I believe this is that.
Simple, yet stunning.

Key Lime Cupcakes
In the spirit of summer which is soon approaching (oh I cannot wait!) I have taken the first step in baking some cute summer related treats.
Key-lime cupcakes!
Very tasty treat and simple I might add.
Just take a few table spoons of real lime juice (or bottled like juice if preferred) as well as a bit of lime shavings and toss into your icing (and batter as well if desired). Make sure to start with small increments and taste. You don't want it to be too sour.
Here's what they will look like.

Mini Cakes
Today was an interesting morning. I spent about 3 hours creating these mini cakes. Simple yet time consuming. Nonetheless it was fun. It's always great to see the finished product because when you start you never know what you'll end up with.
Cake 1: Simple bridal bouquet cake
Cake 2: Valentines Bride cake
Cake 3: Ladybug Cake
NOTE:
You want to start by creating all your decorations first before you start to ice and cover your cakes. This makes for an easier job as you do not have to stop to create more decorations. It's also best to create your decorations the day before (or a few days before) in order to have them dry. Dried decorations are easier to work with. Leave them at room temperature. In this case, I did not make them in advance but after about an hour, they were mainly dry.
Finished Example:
Which is your favourite?
