Diaper Party Gender Neutral Cupcakes

Well the title explains it all!

These were indeed made for a Diaper Party (this is the men equivalent to a woman's baby shower, just an fyi for anyone wondering what I am speaking about).

As the sex of the baby is going to be a surprise - a gender neutral colour was needed.
Yellow is definitely my favourite colour - a soft baby pastel colour was used here.

To achieve this yellow, I made 2 batches of buttercreme icing and added 4 drops of "Sunshine Yellow" by Artisan Accents.

Packed and Ready to be Shipped out. All I have to do is close the box and tie.

It was a cute arial view.

Bride to Bee

I was asked to make 50 cupcakes for.a bridal shower with the theme "bride to BEE", this is what I came up with. These cute little bumble bees took a while to make, but came out well and are ready for flight.

To make a bumble bee, you require the following tools.
-Yellow, Black, and White fondant
-Tip 3
-Edible Glue
-shaping tool
-knife or pizza cutter

Steps
1. Start by rolling the yellow fondant into an oval.
2. Use the front of tip 3 to cut out the bee's eyes.
3. Use the back of tip 3 to cut circles for the beeS wings, then combine them together by using a shaping tool.
4. Use a knife or pizza cutter to cute straight lines for the bee's body. Take a pieces of black fondant and shape with your fingers for the stinger.
5. Apply all pieces will edible glue

After I pre=made these bumblebees, I moved on to decorating my cupcakes. I used a 1A to shape my icing into a beehive.

Since I had to have these picked up, each cupcake got it's own container which I purchased at Creative bag (great store by the way).

Once I was done, I placed a bumble bee on top each hive.

I packed two sides of a corrugated box with newspaper to keep the containers from moving around. I then tied both boxes together with a strong bow for easy transport.

This is the completed version.

Hope these brought a smile to your day!
