CARS -- 3rd Birthday Cake

CARS!
This beauty was made for little 3 year old Sebastian! Happy Birthday cutey!

We started off with a round 8" cake. Crumb coated the cake and putting it in the fridge to set for approximately 15 minutes. After Taking the cake out it was covered with black fondant that we rolled out. Using the stretching and smoothing method, we then were finished covering our cake.

Once we covered the cake, we added the details to the cake we had pre-made.
The little log is our cars podium as you can see in the picture above.
Checkers all around the cake and a special #3 for this little guy!

Bridal Shower

"Two hearts, Yours and Mine..."

When you find that perfect someone and you say "I do", it calls for celebration. However, before the big day, there are a few other "All-about-the-bride" celebrations. In this case, we created special Bridal cupcakes for the Bride to Be.

Here is our Bride to Be's designated cupcake!
This is a Chocolate Cupcake with buttercreme icing and a chocolate "Mrs" topper.
To make this topper you will need:
-melting chocolate (i.e. Merkens, Candy Melts, etc)
-an icing bag fit with a tip (I used #5 Wilton)
-parchment paper

Step 1: Melt the chocolate in the microwave (start with 30 seconds, then in 15 second intervals - so not to have the chocolate burn- stirring each time) until it is at the correct consistency
Step 2: In your already prepared icing bag, scoop the chocolate into the bag
Step 3: Start to write your message or draw your design on your piece of parchment (Hint: If you want to keep all the letters together, you must write in cursive)
Step 4: Place it in the fridge for about 10-15 minutes
Step 5: BE CAREFUL when removing from the fridge. I had 2 fall off my parchment and break (good thing I made 4)
Step 6: Place on cupcake! And you're Done!

So what's a bride without her entourage, oops, I mean bridal party?  :)
You do need witnesses, at the very least to capture this beautiful moment in your amazing stunning beautiful expensive wedding dress! ... oh and I guess your soon to be husband as well and how handsome he looks ;)

Using the damask colour cups liners really allowed the liner to pop offering a bit of elegance.
(Hint: Using foil lined liners is crucial if you do not want your liner to blend into your cupcake - especially when making chocolate ones )
